Education Committee

The Education Committee is very excited to be conceptualizing a new education program that will encapsulate the mission of MARL, the need to educate our youth and provide a voice for them to be heard and become leaders within their schools and community. The goal is to link our high school students with our culturally diverse population that we are so fortunate to have in our wonderful city and province.

The Committee has met formally twice and already we are framing a process that will allow the voice of our youth to be heard, seen and felt. The educational outcomes are the following:

• Understand and appreciate the need to safe guard the rights of all individuals.

• Increase awareness of the human rights issues affecting our diverse cultural community members.

The end product would be to provide our youth with a venue to showcase their learnings using their multiple intelligences.

We, the Education Committee, are very honoured to be part of a project that will effect change, engage students and publicize the wonderful work that MARL does for our province.
