This series of seven lesson plans is based on the book, We are Witnesses: Five Diaries of Teenagers Who Died in the Holocaust by Jacob Boas. A gallery walk, literature circle roles along with explanations and a historical timeline are all included in this comprehensive unit. Students will reflect on ways in which the choices and motives of individuals encountered in this text provide insight into themselves and others. They will discuss personal participation and responsibility.

This unit plan includes a gallery walk and timeline which are in separate documents since they need to be printed on larger paper.
