Human Rights Education Toolkit
This educational resource has been created to assist teachers in integrating human rights education across the existing Manitoba Curricula.
It is designed to consider Human Rights Education in the context of six areas: Human Stories, Rights Conventions and Legislation, Action, Reflection, Responsibility and Environment.
Human rights is a unifying concept in education which links all curricular areas. This helps students construct a holistic understanding of human rights and their role in society.
Each section of this resource contains an introduction to explain our philosophy and a rational for including these perspectives in the lesson plans. There are resources and links found throughout this website.There is a also direct link to lesson plans through the various subject areas.
