Lesson Plans

These lesson plans have been designed as a model to assist teachers in integrating Human Rights education across the existing Manitoba curriculum.

The aim of human rights education is to promote critical thinking and communication skills. Students will learn about justice, equity, diversity and interdependence. They will learn respect, responsibility, cooperation, empathy, perspective taking and a positive regard for others. Human rights education works to establish a culture where human rights are understood, defended and respected.
